As Big 4 consultants, we spent a ton of time trying to get organizations to automate their processes to save time and money. One thing we noticed was that many organizations form a lot of groups and meet frequently to discuss topics and make decisions - it’s a critical aspect of what they do.

We also noticed that this critical organizational function was highly manual - supported by spreadsheets and word documents or maybe even a simple site or folder that did little more than centralize documents.

When we looked at the market for tools to recommend, we noticed that there was a big gap in the market. The solutions either cost a fortune using per seat licenses or were really cheap but lacked enterprise capabilities.

So we decided to build GovernSpot to make managing group and committee functions a lot easier at a price even small businesses could afford. We use it too for our investors, leadership, and ISO 9001 quality teams.

Today all kinds of organizations use GovernSpot - law firms, charity groups, schools, churches, business partnerships - all looking to communicate, automate, and capture decisions in an increasingly virtual environment.
